Universal Orlando Resort

For many, family travel means Florida—and this summer Loews Hotels and the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando are making a trip to the Sunshine State even more attractive.

With stays of four nights or longer at one of the AAA Four-Diamond hotels onsite at Universal Orlando Resort, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel or Loews Portofino Bay Hotel—kids receive a free 2-Park Unlimited Admission Ticket with each paid ticket for adults valid at both Universal Orlando theme parks. Onsite hotel guests also receive free Universal Express ride access allowing them to skip the regular queues at theme park rides and attractions by showing their hotel room key card. (Guests can also save up to 30 percent on room rates.)Universal Orlando1

New to Universal Orlando Resort this summer is the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster. On this ride, passengers pick their own soundtrack and listen as it blasts through individual concert-quality audio systems—all the while hurtling through a series of never-before-attempted maneuvers. Cameras capture their experience and guests can purchase a take-home video of their ride.
Cool Digs for Kids

Not all of the excitement for kids is at the theme parks. At Loews Royal Pacific Resort, the Jurassic Park-themed suites integrate the theme park’s adventure into the hotel experience. Featuring raptor’s cage headboards, custom wall murals, artwork from the making of the movies and Jurassic Park-themed furniture, these suites offer privacy for mom and dad, with a separate room for the kids decorated in the Jurassic Park theme.Universal Orlando2

At Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the Dr. Seuss Kids’ Suites offer a montage of characters, colors and patterns. Furniture and shapes in the suite take on their own Seussian form with an off-kilter and wacky appearance in form and color. Colors and patterns are everywhere, from the vibrant blue carpet, sprinkled with a pattern of lighter blue dots, to the beds, which appear to be part of “Who-ville” with Seussian forms inspired from the "Horton Hears a Who" book. Buildings teeter, trees droop and machines work in impossible ways.
